Since childhood I have loved art.  It all began with a book titled “Justin Morgan Had  a Horse”.  The book had marvelous conte crayon drawings and I checked it out of the library every chance I had and poured over the pages.

While raising three lively sons, there wasn’t much time to devote to my own painting desires.  The occasional craft project was about the most I was able to squeeze in to my busy schedule.  However, when I happened upon Edee Joppich’s Bay Street Art Gallery one summer, I was hooked!  I have been studying with her ever since.

In addition to my time spent painting now, I am also involved with the Visual Arts Association of Livonia and have served as President for the past six years.  As an Arts Commissioner for the City of Livonia I have also managed the Fine Arts Gallery, held the positions of Treasurer and Secretary, and for the past four years have served as the Fine Arts Exhibition Director.  I love it all…the painting, the managing, and the civic involvement.  It’s a wonderful life!
